About Us
Mikdash Community interest company dedicated to transforming unsafe, neglected housing into healing, dignified homes for families — particularly mothers and children — living in deprivation, unsafe environments, or furniture poverty.

Who We Are
Mikdash is a Community Interest Company dedicated to transforming unsafe, neglected housing into healing, dignified homes for children and their families.
Founded by Gloria Grace — a Community Children’s Nurse, interior designer, and children’s health advocate with over seven years of clinical experience across the NHS and private sector. Having witnessed first-hand how substandard housing worsens health inequalities, delays child development, and undermines family wellbeing, Gloria created Mikdash to address a critical gap: the intersection of healthcare, design and housing.
Our approach is rooted in the belief that a safe and beautiful home is not a luxury, but a public health necessity.
We work with families whose children’s health is being exacerbated by the very homes meant to shelter them—families trapped on endless housing waiting lists, with no choice but to remain in spaces unfit for safe, healthy living.
Our Vision
A future where every child is raised in a safe healing and dignified home designed to support their health and wellbeing.
Our Mission
We transform neglected and deprived housing into trauma-informed sanctuaries for families using design as a tool for healing, dignity, and wellbeing.
We bridge the gap between health and housing, working to prevent the long-term impacts of poverty, inequality, and unsafe living conditions.
